Terms and Conditions for TypeSafe

Welcome to TypeSafe. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our bilingual writing assistant, browser extension, and web dashboard available at https://typesafe.top (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1) Overview
- TypeSafe offers real-time grammar checks, AI-powered rewrites, bilingual (English/Polish) detection, personal dictionaries, and privacy controls with Local Mode (on-device) and Cloud Mode (server processing without text storage).
- We provide a 7-day free trial with full access; no credit card is required to start.

2) Eligibility and Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials (including Google OAuth sign-in) and for all activity under your account.

3) Subscriptions, Trials, and Payments
- Paid plans (monthly, quarterly, annual) are billed at the rates shown when you subscribe. Prices may change with notice.
- Trials end automatically; continued use of paid features after a trial requires selecting a plan. When you add payment details, charges begin at the start of the chosen billing period.
- Payments are processed by third-party providers. Applicable taxes may apply.
- You may cancel anytime; cancellation stops future renewals but does not retroactively refund amounts already paid unless required by law.

4) Acceptable Use
- You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own or your organization's writing.
- You may not resell the Service, attempt to reverse engineer it, misuse it to harm others, or violate applicable laws. Do not circumvent rate limits or security controls.

5) Content and Ownership
- You retain ownership of the text you write and the dictionaries or style rules you create. We process that content only to provide the Service, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
- TypeSafe and its licensors retain all rights to the software, features, branding, and underlying technology.

6) Privacy
- Our data practices are described in our Privacy Policy at https://typesafe.top/privacy-policy. By using the Service, you also agree to that Policy.

7) Availability and Changes
- We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features to improve security, performance, or user experience. We will strive to give notice of material changes when feasible.

8) Disclaimers and Liability
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee error-free suggestions or uninterrupted availability.
- To the fullest extent allowed by law, our liability for any claims is limited to the amount you paid to TypeSafe in the 3 months preceding the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

9) Termination
- You may stop using the Service or request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or create security risks.

10) Governing Law
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence may also apply.
